What is breast cancer?

Breast cancer is when there is an abnormal growth of cells. These cells grow faster than normal cells and may invade other places in the body.


What are the available treatments?

Radiation therapy, surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy are a few treatments available for breast cancer.


What is complete remission?

The doctor declares complete remission when there are no signs of cancer cells.


What is recurrent breast cancer?

Recurrent breast cancer is when cancer cells grow back after complete remission. This could happen in the same breast or other places if the original cancer cells metastasized to different sites.


What can I do to prevent breast cancer?

Unfortunately, some people are more prone to have breast cancer due to genetics. If you have a family member who had breast cancer, getting genetic testing might be a good start. One of the easiest ways to detect breast cancer is to do a self-examination.
