Diabetes is a serious disease with 2 types. Type 1 is genetic, meaning you are born with it, and type 2 is from being unhealthy. In type 1, your own body attacks itself, killing off the part of your body that makes insulin. Insulin is important because it allows your body to use the energy in food. Without it, your body fails to work properly causing problems like tiredness, weight loss, and blurry vision. Type 2 is more common and happens when people eat lots of unhealthy foods with sugar and fat. What happens, is the insulin that your body produces stops working. So, what happens is now the body is not responding to the insulin it makes and lots of sugar is going unused in blood. All the leftover sugar can cause many problems like type 1. Diabetes can lead to whole arms and legs dying off from all the excess sugar. It is important that you talk with your doctor about diabetes if you have concerns or wish to know more. Remember, it is important to eat healthy and exercise to prevent diabetes type 2.
